Madelyn Rae JusticeBorn December 29th, 2010 at 3:12 p.m.
8 lbs 20 1/2 inches long
Born at Parker Adventist Hospital
Parker, Colorado, Douglas County
She was born on my due-date. We decided to be induced and I had an awesome nurse who knew and understood my desire to have natural child birth. I was able to deliver with out any medication or epidural. When Madelyn was almost here I was completely freaking out and wishing I had drugs though. The cord was around her little neck. The doctor did not say anything to me and either did Greg. I could tell something was up though because the doctor got this stern voice and said "she needs to be born now! Now push!" I obeyed and got her here. Then they told me the problem and I started to cry my eyes out.
Once she got all cleaned up and they made sure she was okay they handed me the most beautiful little angel. The feeling of relief and gratitude set in. I am so grateful for this little blessing. After loosing our sweet angel Braden, I was so relieved to get her here safe and sound. It was a feeling of closure and completeness to our little family. We are complete now.
When we got home everyone that was visiting was sick. Grandma Justice did not even get to hold Madelyn. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful to keep there little germs to themselves :) It paid off because Madelyn did not end up sick. YAY!
What a great way to end a great year. We have had fun this year and with pink and sass in the house I can't wait to see what 2011 will bring. Lots of shopping, shoes and bows I am sure!
